Although thousands of organ transplants have become commonplace, the heart-liver combination is rare-only one was done in 2003 and two in 2002 according to the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN). The money raised in the board auction will be donated to Kelli Jaunsen to assist in her effort to fund the much needed heart and liver transplant. But her fight is not over.
